I was born in Corona and grew up in Riverside. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Cal State University of San Bernardino and my teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. This will be my 5th year at Corona Ranch Elementary School. I love teaching and the sparkle in the student's eye when they learn. If I am to teach a child anything, it is to become an independent, responsible, hard-working, respectful person who believes in him/herself, who has the courage and desire to aim high in life, and who will stop at nothing to succeed. Conversing with students about books and seeing them light up when they are talking about reading is something I love to see. In class, we use as much technology as possible to help students learn the most they can, as well as to prepare them for future careers. Last year, our class won the international eInstruction classroom makeover competition worth $25,000 in classroom technology. I have been happily married to Angie for 8 years and we have 4 awesome children. Josh is 7 (and happy to be starting 2nd grade), Cecilia is 5 (and journeying on to Kindergarten), Kade is 3, and Molly is 2. I am in a rock band called Seven Sorrows. Angie played bass for us and I am the drummer and singer. Teaching anyone to play the drums is something I greatly enjoy. If I am able to find some free time I love to read, create webpages, videos, and to find out the latest online technology and how it can be used to enhance our classroom. |
